Midland, Texas (Permian Basin)

A controlled kill study was performed to evaluate Chlodox performance on active produced water from the Permian Basin.

Methodology

The study used comparative testing, evaluating Chlodox against multiple industry-standard treatments on the same frac pond water sample. Dosing levels tested were 250, 500, 750 and 1000 ppm, measured at 1 hour, 4 hour and 24 hour intervals using cATP, a cellular activity measurement that captures overall microbial load rather than a single named organism.

Performance results

Chlodox delivered rapid kill performance within the first hour, with sustained superior performance at both the 4 and 24 hour marks. Kill rates climbed from roughly 48 to 100% at 1 hour depending on dose, reaching 93 to 99.9% by 24 hours. Strong results were also achieved at lower dosing levels, reducing total chemical spend without sacrificing performance.
